There are many training opportunities available, and all training is free for authorised foster and kinship carers, guardians and adoptive parents from out-of-home care.
Training is delivered both online and in person, giving you flexibility to choose what works best for you.
If it’s difficult to attend live sessions due to other commitments, you can also access a range of recorded webinars. These can be completed at a time that suits you, from the comfort of your own home.
To register for training, you’ll need to be a member of the Carers for Kids NSW Carer Portal. You can register or log in to the portal, browse the training calendar, and register for sessions that interest you by following the prompts.
Once registered for the Carer Portal, you’ll automatically receive email updates about upcoming training opportunities. Places are limited for many sessions, so early registration is encouraged.
